There are more luxury SUVs now available than ever before, so deciding which one to buy can be tricky. If Genesis and Volvo SUVs are on your wish-list, we want to help make things a little easier for you. Take a look at this comparison of the new thesis maker app and the Volvo XC90.
The base Genesis GV80 comes with a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. The other option is a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that generates 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque.
By comparison, the Volvo XC90 comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that offers 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, following just short of the Genesis model’s output.
Genesis models have a strong reputation when it comes to tech features, and the Genesis GV80 is no exception. Every model comes with a 12-speaker sound system, keyless entry, and Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® integration. You will also get a very user-friendly infotainment system with a huge 14.5-inch touchscreen.
On the flip side, if you choose the Volvo XC90, you’ll only get to enjoy a 10-speaker stereo, and its touchscreen only measures nine inches.
There are tons of standard safety features inside the Genesis GV80. These include:
- Highway driving assist
- Forward collision warning
- Adaptive cruise control
- Pedestrian detection
- Front automatic emergency braking
- Evasive steering assist
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Lane keep assist
- Blind spot monitoring
You can also put the Genesis GV80 in a semi-autonomous driving mode, which is one of the newest safety features on the market. The Volvo XC90 has some of the same safety features, but pedestrian detection and evasive steering assist are not among them.
Still can’t decide which SUV to go with? A test drive can help you figure it out, and you can get behind the wheel of the Genesis GV80 today at O’Brien Genesis of Fort Myers.
